Artist Eligibility Policies

The Artist Policies govern the participation of artists on the Artsays platform and establish the rights, responsibilities, standards, and obligations applicable to artists who create, showcase, list, promote, or sell artworks through Artsays.

These policies are designed to maintain the integrity of the marketplace, protect artists and buyers, promote authentic artwork, and ensure a transparent, secure, and professional environment for all participants.

These Artist Policies should be read together with the Artsays Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Intellectual Property Policy, Authenticity & Certificates Policy, Pricing & Payments Policy, Shipping Policy, and other applicable Artsays policies.

1.1 Eligibility

To register as an Artist on Artsays, an individual must be the original creator of the artwork being listed or a person legally authorized to represent the creator.

Artists must possess the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements under applicable laws and must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration and throughout their use of the platform.

Registration on Artsays does not automatically grant approval to list or sell artworks. Artsays reserves the right to review applications and determine eligibility in accordance with its platform standards and verification requirements.

1.2 Identity Verification

To maintain a trusted marketplace and comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, Artsays may require artists to complete identity verification before accessing certain platform features or selling artworks.

Verification may include the submission of government-issued identification, tax information, banking details, business information, proof of address, or other documents reasonably required to verify identity, prevent fraud, facilitate secure payments, or satisfy legal obligations.

Artsays may request additional verification or re-verification at any time where necessary to maintain platform integrity or comply with applicable laws.

1.3 Portfolio Requirements

Artists are expected to maintain a genuine, accurate, and professional portfolio that reflects their own artistic work and creative practice.

Portfolio submissions should include only artworks that the artist has created or is legally authorized to represent. Images, descriptions, and other portfolio information must accurately represent the artwork and must not contain misleading, copied, manipulated, or unauthorized content.

Artsays may review portfolio submissions to ensure compliance with its quality standards, authenticity requirements, and platform policies before approving or displaying them.

1.4 Professional Information

Artists are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date professional information on their Artsays profile, including their artist name, biography, artistic style, experience, qualifications, portfolio details, exhibitions, awards (if applicable), and other professional information.

Artists must not provide false, misleading, or deceptive information regarding their identity, qualifications, achievements, affiliations, certifications, or artistic background.

1.5 Compliance with Laws & Platform Policies

Artists must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and Artsays policies while using the platform.

Compliance includes, but is not limited to, intellectual property laws, tax obligations, consumer protection laws, authenticity requirements, content standards, and any other legal or regulatory obligations applicable to their activities.

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in corrective actions under the applicable Artsays policies.

1.6 Approval, Rejection & Re-verification Rights

Artsays reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or revoke an artist's eligibility or verification status at its sole discretion where it reasonably determines that an applicant or artist:

Artsays may also conduct periodic reviews or request updated information to ensure continued compliance with platform requirements. Approval or verification at one point in time does not guarantee continued eligibility to participate on the platform.
