Community Standards Policies
Artsays is committed to building a respectful, creative, and trustworthy community for artists, sellers, buyers, collectors, galleries, and all other users. These Community Standards establish the expected behaviour of all users while interacting with the platform and are intended to promote a safe, inclusive, and professional environment.
All users are expected to comply with these Community Standards while using any Artsays feature, including profiles, artwork listings, comments, reviews, ratings, community posts, exhibitions, bidding activities, and other platform interactions.
Failure to comply with these standards may result in content removal, account restrictions, suspension, or other enforcement actions in accordance with applicable Artsays policies.
3.1 Respectful Conduct
Users must interact with others in a respectful, honest, and professional manner at all times. Artsays encourages constructive discussions, appreciation of creativity, and positive engagement within the community.
Users must not engage in behaviour that may intimidate, threaten, harass, discriminate against, abuse, impersonate, or otherwise harm other users or the reputation of the Artsays community.
All users are expected to communicate responsibly, respect differing artistic styles and opinions, and contribute to maintaining a welcoming environment for creators, collectors, and art enthusiasts.
3.2 Prohibited Content
To maintain a safe and trustworthy platform, users must not upload, publish, share, promote, or otherwise make available any content that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Contains false, misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent information.
- Promotes plagiarism, counterfeit artworks, or unauthorized reproductions.
- Contains hate speech, discrimination, harassment, threats, or abusive language.
- Includes obscene, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate material.
- Contains malware, malicious code, phishing attempts, or harmful software.
- Promotes illegal goods, unlawful activities, or prohibited products.
- Attempts to manipulate platform systems, reviews, rankings, auctions, or marketplace operations.
- Otherwise compromises the safety, integrity, or reputation of Artsays or its users.
Artsays reserves the right to review and remove any content that violates these Community Standards or applicable policies.
3.3 Reviews & Ratings
Reviews and ratings help maintain transparency and trust within the Artsays marketplace.
Users are encouraged to provide honest, accurate, and experience-based reviews that fairly reflect their interactions with artworks, transactions, or services.
Users must not:
- Submit false or misleading reviews.
- Manipulate ratings or reputation.
- Offer or accept incentives in exchange for positive or negative reviews.
- Post reviews containing abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, or offensive language.
- Use reviews to harass, threaten, or target other users.
Artsays may remove reviews or ratings that violate these standards or are found to be fraudulent, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate.
3.4 Reporting Violations
Users are encouraged to report content, listings, reviews, accounts, or activities that they reasonably believe violate Artsays policies or applicable laws.
Reports should be submitted honestly, in good faith, and with sufficient information to enable Artsays to review the matter.
Knowingly submitting false, malicious, or repetitive reports intended to harass other users or misuse the reporting system is prohibited and may itself result in enforcement action.
Artsays will review reported matters using reasonable efforts but does not guarantee immediate action or removal in every case.
3.5 Content Moderation
Artsays may review, monitor, restrict, edit, disable, or remove user-generated content where necessary to maintain platform safety, comply with legal obligations, protect users, investigate policy violations, or preserve the integrity of the marketplace.
Moderation decisions may be based on user reports, automated detection tools, internal review processes, or other reasonable methods.
Artsays reserves the right to determine whether content complies with its policies and may take appropriate action without prior notice where necessary.
3.6 Enforcement Actions
Where users violate these Community Standards or other applicable Artsays policies, Artsays may take one or more enforcement actions depending on the nature, severity, and frequency of the violation.
Such actions may include:
- Educational warnings.
- Removal or restriction of content.
- Temporary feature limitations.
- Suspension of listings or platform privileges.
- Temporary account suspension.
- Permanent account termination.
- Reporting unlawful activities to relevant authorities where required by law.
Artsays may determine the appropriate enforcement action at its sole discretion.
3.7 Appeals
Users who believe that content moderation or enforcement actions were applied incorrectly may submit an appeal through Artsays' official support channels.
Appeals should include sufficient information and supporting evidence for review.
Artsays will review appeals in a fair and reasonable manner; however, submission of an appeal does not guarantee that an enforcement decision will be reversed.
The decision made following the review of an appeal shall be final unless otherwise required by applicable law.
3.8 Community Challenges, Contests & Events
This can govern art challenges, featured artist campaigns, community contests, live events, and participation rules without affecting the rest of the Community Standards. It isn't necessary for launch but will fit naturally if you introduce those features later.
