Verification & Trust Policies

The Verification & Trust Policy explains how Artsays verifies eligible artists, sellers, collectors, galleries, businesses, and other marketplace participants and how verified status may be granted, reviewed, suspended, or removed.

Verification is intended to improve trust, transparency, and confidence across the Artsays marketplace by helping users identify accounts that have completed additional verification requirements established by Artsays. Verification does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee of quality, guarantee of authenticity, financial guarantee, or guarantee of future performance by any verified user.

6.1 Verification Process

Artsays may require eligible users to complete an identity, business, payment, document, portfolio, ownership, or other verification process before granting verified status or access to certain marketplace features.

The verification process may include submission of government-issued identification, business registration documents, tax information, banking details, portfolio materials, ownership documentation, or other information reasonably required by Artsays.

Verification requirements may vary depending on the type of account, marketplace role, transaction value, regulatory obligations, risk assessment, or other operational factors.

6.2 Verified Status & Trust Badge

Where a user successfully completes the applicable verification process, Artsays may grant a verified status or trust badge that identifies the account as having completed additional verification requirements established by the platform.

A verified status or trust badge indicates only that the account has satisfied the applicable verification criteria determined by Artsays. It does not represent a guarantee of authenticity of any artwork, financial reliability, commercial performance, legal compliance beyond the verification process, or future conduct of the verified user.

Artsays may determine the design, appearance, categories, eligibility criteria, and availability of verified status or trust badges at its sole discretion.

6.3 Ongoing Verification & Reverification

Artsays may conduct periodic reviews, ongoing monitoring, or reverification of verified accounts where reasonably necessary to maintain the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the verification system.

Reverification may be required where account information changes, ownership changes, banking details change, legal or regulatory requirements change, suspicious activity is identified, documentation expires, or other circumstances reasonably justify additional verification.

Users are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and cooperating with reasonable verification requests made by Artsays.

6.4 Suspension or Removal of Verified Status

Artsays reserves the right to suspend, remove, revoke, or modify any verified status or trust badge where reasonably necessary.

Verified status may be suspended or removed where:

Where reasonably practicable, Artsays may notify the affected user of the suspension or removal of verified status. Suspension or removal of verified status does not automatically terminate the user's account, although separate enforcement actions may be taken under other applicable Artsays policies where appropriate.
